We decided to check out our first Lagniappe in Rochester, MI. The event, celebrating it's 40th anniversary this year, represents the start of the Christmas season, and of course the holiday shopping that coincides.

For the evening, the merchants of downtown Rochester offer their customers Lagniappe, Creole for “a little something extra”, in appreciation for their support throughout the year. Each store had a gift, such as cookies, wine, or cannolis, for each and every guest.
